The purpose of this Web site is academic and it is intended only to inform and to correct some of the misinformation that surrounds the story including the location of the erstwhile house at 10 Rillington Place. It is therefore offered as a contribution to the study of this piece of English social history. Efforts have been made to ensure accuracy but this cannot be guaranteed. Comments, together with suggested corrections, additions and amendments are welcome and for which a guestbook is provided (please see below).
Although Bartle Road is a public highway, nothing in the Web site is intended either to facilitate or encourage trespass, nuisance or intrusiveness on the part of casual visitors and it must be recognised that local residents are entitled to the fullest respect for their amenity and privacy.
